I wanted to share my feelings that per last weekend's American applicants session, it seemed like McGill really put a lot into impressing us all. It was a very well organized couple of days. Impressive school, good city, academically renowned. How did everyone else feel who interviewed there?

I'm agreeing with you.. the downtime during the interview day was a little bit annoying, but I could deal with it. At McGill, as clerks we are integral parts of the hospital and I think that we'd be the best prepared for residency. Also, the curriculum seemed really well organized--- it goes system by system rather than covering complete blocks of a given subject (like all of anatomy then all of biochem). Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised by McGill.

They notify really quickly, I think we'll find out next week....

Hi,

Although I applied as a Quebec resident last year, we heard back one week after the interviews were complete...however, speaking to some of the international students in my class, I think they actually heard back at some point near the end of February (though your Minerva status will change at least a week or two before you get the official letter in the mail)...

Good luck and don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions! (though I am sure you asked them all during the weekend of fun)...

I really liked McGill and Montreal. I also liked the interviewees who went out to dinner; everyone seemed down to earth. I have to agree about the downtime during the interview day, but at least they gave us food and had people come and speak to us...which is more than Quebec residents get when they interview, I understand. I love the systems based approach and the 1.5 years in a classroom as opposed to 2 years like almost every other school. If I get in, I'm going to McGill (unless U of Washington accepts me!).

After my final interview, I asked when we could expect to hear back from them. My interviewer took me to the admissions office and I was told that we wouldn't hear back until March. Hopefully the admissions person was just covering all her bases and that we will hear back earlier than that. I can't imagine it taking to long since we all interviewed at the same time!

I interviewed on the Monday date and really liked McGill. I think they picked a good crowd to interview, I thought the interviewees were well-rounded and interesting. Anyway, I had a good time during the entire weekend. I hope we find out soon. I wonder how many of us they'll take...
