So, you guys may have seen my posts over the last week freaking out about micro and Abx and viruses with 3 days left to study. In the end, a day before the test the stress of being uncomfortable with those subjects caused me to lose a lot of confidence, and so I pushed my test back until July 3rd. Just wanted to thank everybody for their help and support, and if anyone had any suggestions on high yield ways to condense micro into a utilizable form and not just a collective pile of names and nonsense words. I have given myself now more than enough time to feel comfortable and feel much better and ready for the exam. Thanks again guys! 👍

and many thanks to the geeks in the room that understand my post title 🙂

dude just sit down and memorize the drugs and what they treat. there's no trick to it. 3 days was more than enough time to get it down. use the mnemonics in FA. man up, dude.

yeah! dude up, man.

This kinda talk reminds of 'back in the day' when coaches and teammates would give pep-talks as simple as that. And it worked. Some of my favorites were semi-sexist.

So my advice to everyone (and others can reciprocate)........Study Like You Got a Pair! 😉

Thanks for the encouragement, I guess?

Actually I really only needed a couple more days, I agree. The problem is that I now have 2 weeks of classes to teach me how not to be an idiot on the wards in 3 weeks, so it was simply out of necessity that I rescheduled it for that long.

My schedule actually is:
1 week classes 8-5
Wedding over the weekend
1 week of classes 8-5
USMLE Step 1
Week of vacation
WARDS

I'm so jealous!!! I wish we had classes teaching us not to be idiots on the wards... we get a ONE day orientation (as opposed to first year, when we had three totally unnecessary days of orientation). Then they're setting us loose 😱
