Yeah it's called purposely failing your senior year.
 
It's bascially a post-bac, but for high school.

For people who couldn't get into university essentially.
 
Or people that wanted to hang around and do nothing for a year?

I know a ton of people that did them.

I know people who delayed a year after high school to work and chill.

Why would one want to hang around high school and be forced to go to class if they didn't haev to?

Well, yeah I know of super seniors, but they usually had unsatisfied graduation requirements or the like. I've never heard of a program in which you could simply opt to stay in high school despite finishing your requirements.

Yes. Just people who had failing GPAs or did not complete all of their requirements.
 
I've only heard the term victory lap being used for those too stupid to graduate and have to repeat.:laugh:
