OK, stupid school just cancelled a course I signed up for...so now I have to choose whatever class is left...the one that fits my schedule best is a class called Comparative Biomechanics. Does anyone know what biomechanics is about??? I've no idea, but from reading a passage from the book it sounds terrible...

"When walking, each leg contacts the ground for more than half of each stride, so you always have at least one leg on the ground. When running, each leg stays in contact less than half the time, so you're fully airborne for a time, twice during each full stride...When walking, your body is highest in midstride, when one or the other leg extends almost vertically..."

WHAT THE HELL IS ALL THAT?? Seems like I'm reading a manual for yoga or somethin'!
