Post Your Month of Interview and Acceptance -- Please Help!

I'm trying to convince the pre-med committee at my school that their practice of refusing to interview anyone until fall the year of application is hurting applicants. They won't setup the interview until school starts (ie, if one were applying for the class of 2010, they would not interview the person until fall semester 2009.) While students at other schools are being interviewed and accepted in October, students at my school are just getting in their last LOR. I realize that not everyone applies/is accepted that earlier, but it seems to me like an unnecessary handicap to make students wait.

Please help me gather some info and post what month you interviewed and were accepted in!

1st School:
Interview: Early November
Result: Acceptance (Late December)

2nd School:
Interview: Mid-November
Result: Waitlist (Mid-March)

3rd School:
Interview: Early January
Result: Acceptance (Mid-March)

You should really tell your school that their committee interview process is asinine; they're only hurting their students by forcing their applications to be incomplete until October at the earliest.

Interview October 4th accepted sometime during the second week of October.

Goodluck in your persuasion. You have a legitimate reason in my opinion.

I was EDP, so September and September.

If someone from your school needed EDP for some reason, they wouldn't have a shot.

i really hope you are not applying in texas because it's such a timing game. you have a strong case with your school.

on another note, i got an interview to this school before they received my LORs

Your committee is being dumb. I had three interviews, between September 16 and October 7th. One acceptance by October 15, and another two weeks after.

Your committee is seriously doing you a MASSIVE disservice on this one. Nobody from your school can be complete by late September? That's ridiculous. Detailed dates are in my MDApps, but I had four interview invites by the end of September and an acceptance on October 16th.

I had two interviews in the first week of October and one of them accepted me in the last week of October.

Good luck getting them to change!
