I was reading through another forum and came across a post. The poster claims that OCs will reduce the risk of aquiring Gonorrhea. I do not know of any OC that will reduce a womans chances of getting a STD. Any comments?

To the best of my knowledge, OCs only prevent pregnancy and not STDs. Look at a package of OCs, and it will normally say that it doesn't prevent STDs.

As far as I know that is not true. I'd be curious to know what the theory is behind the thought.
