I am unsure of what to do next either do a Post bacc or a MA in biomedical science ?

A little about me :
I have completed all my pre req for med school and took one upper division level bio chem class. My BPCM GPA is around 2.8/2.9. My total undergrad gpa is at 3.18. I am a U of Washington graduate. I really struggled through out my whole undergrad career since I was in the process of coming out and had to deal with extreme trauma with my family and being a Muslim also an immigrant who grew up half of my life in Pakistan and half of my life in USA. It took its toll on my BPCM gpa. I have good EC 2 years of GAY city health project ( Gay City Health Project is a multicultural gay men’s health organization and the leading provider of HIV and STI testing in Seattle metro area. ) leadership of 4 years in maps (Minority Association of Pre-Health Student) and plenty of leadership in many lgbtq student orgs.

I really want to be a physician to serve underserved population like the lgbtq community, and maybe one day go back to Pakistan to help others that don’t even have access to health care.

I am unsure about what should I do next? Should I do a post bacc at a place like Cornell, U of Oregon or a MA in biomedical sciences in Boston U , Loyola u of Chicago, u of south Carolina ? I am leaning more towards post bacc since it effectively allows me to raise my BPCM gpa through taking upper level BPCM courses. Any advice would be helpful since advisors at our college are pretty useless.

What is your gpa trend?

Won't make much of a diff

Whilst a post-bac will raise your BCPM and cGPA slightly, it's not going to raise it into competitive range - so you'll need an SMP ultimately.

Do the math and calculate what another year of classes will do to your cGPA - i would be surprised if you break 3.4; it'll prob be at like a 3.3. Which is still not good enough for MD, and thus the need for a SMP
