Do VA postdocs normally notify for the first time on the UND? Someone said today that many postdocs notify early and you have until the und to confirm. How do VAs work? Thanks

Every VA I interviewed at clearly stated that they would not notify until UND

I interviewed at several VAs for neuropsych positions that have already filled their spots- Bedford VA, Central Western MA VA, Connecticut VA. Various others are in the match. I think it varies greatly, at least in neuropsych.

Yes, neuropsych is separate from the UND. Some programs participate in the APPCN match program while others do not.

Research fellowships tend to notify early, too. My understanding is that many of them have started notifying early because, in the past, they have lost their top choices due to other programs snatching them up before UND.
UND is a lot different from Match Day. Generally it seems like you get notified of an acceptance earlier than a rejection, so programs contact their first choices and then go down the list as they get rejections. In this case, no news is bad news.
