Can somebody help me analyze this: Which formulation of potassium chloride is better to counteract gastric irritation? Liquid form or tablet form?
How about this, is sustained release form of the same medication, lessen GI irritation?

Thank you in advance.

To counteract gastric irritation, administer the oral drug with meal and a full glass of water.
Dissolve the tablet if effervescent or dilute the liquid form with water, juice or beverage and have the patient drink it slowly.
The liquid form is better if the patient has delayed gastric emptying.
