3.94 gpa? In bioengineering? I think your chances are excellent even if you drop out of the PhD program, assuming you make a semi-competitive score on the PCAT. Just be prepared to explain why bioengineering isn't for you, and more importantly, why pharmacy is a better fit. Getting some pharmacy experience would help your cause, I think.

Pretty much everything he said.

I would get a part time tech job while you are figuring this all out to make sure you don't hate it. It would give you a really good idea of what it's like being a pharmD. Who knows if you will like it either until you get some experience.

I think R2PharmD2's advice is solid.

Are there specific questions you feel haven't been answered?

PS, that is the most patient bump I've ever seen. 😛

I had an unfinished master's degree in another field (M.A., so not even scientific) and I applied for the first time this cycle and was accepted. Sometimes, it takes having more exposure in a field to know it's not right for you.

I do have tech experience, though (not a ton, just under a year). I wanted to show that I am committed to pharmacy and that I've tested the waters already and know I like this path.

You might want to consider trying to find a tech position to do that, because they will want to know you are sure this time around, and that you won't leave the program.
