Guess we have to wait fer the power to be restored before we get to hear from those affected.
I live in South NJ and we lucked out, coz a few counties of north NJ also have this power outage.

Power is restored in most of the Buffalo region as of 10PM EDT.

Last year in the winter, ice on the transmission lines caused power failure in Buffalo-- While we were in clinic treating patients! It was an ugly day. 😛

Interesting observation: Back when NYC had the blackout in November 1965, 9 months later there was a spike in the birth rate. HMM!

This is the field in which I work 24/7. Real time control of electrical power grids. I feel for those folks working in the eastern power grid control centers. There will plenty of "Monday morning quarterbacking" on this one. However, I have one comment.

God's laws of electromagnetism trump man's most ingenious efforts and often do so at the speed of light.

I missed 2nd day of orientation today bec my train I take into the city was suspended for today 😡

No word if the school had orientation bec the phone lines are still busy at the school...will keep trying.

Power just came back in Ann Arbor. Sheesh! I cooked in my bed last night.

Took me an hour and 15 minutes to go 3 miles yesterday.

Power was out for 12 hrs in Northern Ontario. Luckily I was done all my procedures for the day!!
