hello.

so i want to take some of the practice boards offered by nbme and was wondering which ones are the best, ie most representative of the real deal (i'd ideally like to take 2 max due to financial constraints).

Yes, there are 4 NBME practice tests ($45 a pop).

Word on the street is that NBME 2 is the best predictor. According to recent discussions on SDN, I'd say they rank in this order:

2 > 1 > 4 > 3

I would agree that II has generally been the best predictor for most people. However, I also wouldn't rely too much on these...I know of people who have done relatively poorly on the NBME practice tests a couple days before the exam, and then rocked out the real thing.

Yes I could have, but then you wouldn't learn how to use the search function, which quite honestly, is pretty helpful! (i'm really not trying to be an a$$ here)
