I know for the MCAT's there are about 8 or 10 practice exams that AMCAS makes public...is there something similar for the DATs? I'm a little new to the whole dental thing.

I've also read that there are practice exams available through TopScore and Achiever...how do you go about getting them? What should I use to practice DAT before I take it?

Please post any helpful links/experiences...thanks!

I think ADA has sample DAT questions up on their website. As for TopScore, you have to purchase their product at their website or on Amazon for the practice tests. TopScore only works for 7 months after your activate their product though and comes with 3 practice tests if I'm not mistaken.
I'm not sure about Achiever.

Here's the link for DAT Achiever:

www.datachiever.com

You get the DEMO software downloaded first and then pay for the Liberation Code that gives you 3 complete tests. Great simulator for the DAT, and informative explanations to every question attempted with 3D stuff for the PAT. A good investment in my opinion.
