Practice Exam after reviewing notes
Started by dentist_dude
Hi~bump
How far are you into your studying? Did you recently start studying?
No I already finished all the contents and finished all the DAT destroyer for orgo and chemistry I just have 30 questions left. I did 9 math tests from destroyer and about 300 questions from the bio out 600. but I always get about 60-65% right for these three questions with extra time. How far are you into your studying? the last two days I went over my notes that I have from Chads videos for orgo and chem , right now I'm trying to finish up the chemistry review.
I'm wondering if it's a good idea to do a practice test for orgo and chem since I just finished their review?
for Bio I think I still need to review more because I feel like I forgot everything. when I do destroyer I only get about 45-50% percent per 40 questions set

I would go ahead & take those practice tests for OC & GC. That's what I did~ I finished my OC & GC review then dedicated the next day to taking practice tests for those subjects. Then I thoroughly went over each solution, even the problems I got correct. It gave me a good idea on what I needed to focus on more.No I already finished all the contents and finished all the DAT destroyer for orgo and chemistry I just have 30 questions left. when are you taking your DAT, and how far are you through studying?
I'm very behind! I barely did any PAT, BIO, and RC! Do you think I will be able to take my DAT by Jan 19th!
I took mine yesterday morning!Thank you.
when are you taking your DAT, and how far are you through studying?
Saw your breakdown, you killed it!I took mine yesterday morning!
What are good full practice exam? Datbootcamp only has section ones.Make sure you take a few "full length" equivalent exams. Much different than doing section exams and you'll need the pacing for the real DAT.

I'd save every section from BC exams 4+5, open them in separate windows, and just take them like the real exam. For example, open bio, chem, and orgo and then do all 3 within 90 minutes (the time you have on the actual exam). Then do the PAT. Then take a break and do the last sections. Don't look at any scores until you're finished. I did this and it worked out well! What are good full practice exam? Datbootcamp only has section ones.
oh yeah I just saw your post great score! Good job!I took mine yesterday morning!
What is the best way you think is good to solidify my bio contents? I already finished Barron's AP bio and went over half of Feralis's notes.
And for the PAT what's the best to go over it and how long do you think it would take me?
So you only did exam 4 and 5 in full and the first three you only did them in sections?I'd save every section from BC exams 4+5, open them in separate windows, and just take them like the real exam. I think you can do it. 🙂 You'll have to crack down for the next 2-3 weeks!I'm very behind! I barely did any PAT, BIO, and RC! Do you think I will be able to take my DAT by Jan 19th!
For PAT, I used:
Bootcamp TFE generator
Bootcamp angle ranking generator
Played around w/the bootcamp pat trainer game & wood gears game when I had some free time
Jco review hole punching & cube counting (they have unlimited bank of questions for only these two topics for free)
And I just googled around looking for free practice questions. I didn't purchase anything for pat..
For RC, I also didn't buy or use any materials. I just read 3 science articles a day from scientific American!
And for bio, used cliffs AP bio & i think I did ~300 questions in destroyer & I went over the solutions/answer key, trying to memorize as many answers as I can in the last couple of days lol >.<
You can do it. 🙂 I did all this including all the other subjects in ~3 weeks
Thank you 🙂 wish I could've done better in QR though..Saw your breakdown, you killed it!
These aren't full length practice exams but if you want more section practice exams, I used DAT genius! You just have to sign up and the first practice exams for each section are free like bootcamp !What are good full practice exam? Datbootcamp only has section ones.
Thanks! you gave me so much motivation!I think you can do it. 🙂 You'll have to crack down for the next 2-3 weeks!
I will start reading articles and doing PAT everyday along reviewing some biology because I feel like those are my weakest points for now since I barely touched them
Would you mind sharing you practice exam scores for Bootcamp or DAT geniusThese aren't full length practice exams but if you want more section practice exams, I used DAT genius! You just have to sign up and the first practice exams for each section are free like bootcamp !
I did all 5 exams, but the last 2 i specifically set them up like the real DAT.So you only did exam 4 and 5 in full and the first three you only did them in sections?
😕😡😕
For bio, have you looked @ cliffs? There are 14 chapters. I read read & studied one chapter a day. This is a basic outline of what I did:
Day 1
-read ch. 1, take notes, do end of chapter quiz & look over solutions, read over free response answers, make flash cards for anything i got wrong & need extra help with
Day 2:
-reread ch. 1, go over the notes & flash cards you made on day 1
-do same thing as day 1 but this time for ch. 2
Day 3:
-reread ch. 2, go over notes & flash cards you made on precious day
-do same thing as day 1 but this time for ch. 3
Sorry if I'm being really confusing 😕 it may seem like a lot and repetitive but being repetitive helped me retain the info . I also looked @ the diagrams and tables (taxonomy, hormones) in the book everyday~
For PAT.. I did
-15 questions untimed & 15 timed using bootcamp TFE and angle ranking generators every day
-15 cube counting questions & 15 hole punching questions using jco review every day
-played with pat trainer game and woodgears game whenever I was bored and on my breaks lol
and for keyholes and pattern folding.... I didn't have any materials cuz like I said in other response, I didn't buy anything
So I just looked for random practice questions on google lol didn't find much...
Did all of this for ~3 weeks everyday
Thank you!!oh yeah I just saw your post great score! Good job!
