Hey guys,
so I realize that the MCAT is written on computer now. I rely heavily on highlighting and thankfully, there IS a highlighting feature on the test.
My inquiry is:
- how can I practice highlighting on my computer? I have practice materials on PDFs and I really want to highlight them instead of printing them and highlighting by hand because it won't be the same thing.
Recently, I got the program "Foxit PDF reader" (free) because I don't have money to afford Adobe Acrobat (costs like 300$).
Okay, so here's the thing... for any of you out there who are tech-savvy.. lend a fellow a hand!!
Until yesterday, I was able to highlight my pdfs by doing the following:
- i went to files, clicked convert pdf and then it brought me to this program called "foxit pdf creator" and it turned my pdfs into a UNIVERSAL foxit pdf.
- i wasn't able to highlight on the original pdfs, but I found that I could highlight on the universal foxit pdf. yay!
THIS MORNING, however...
- i went to files, clicked convert pdf, and then it started loading 2/3rd of the way, then it just stopped at the tracks. Furthermore, it opened up my printer, where the files were "being spooled". What does this even mean?!
- so I tried other methods of pdf that I researched online. i went to Files, clicked Print, where I chose Foxit printer as my printer then clicked OK. This SUCCESSFULLY created my universal foxit pdf, but now I've found that I CANNOT HIGHLIGHT on these things.
Instead, when i try to highlight (even in just text mode), it just DRAGS (makes a box...) and does not do anything!! What happened to my highlighting function? How do I get it back???
This is really urgent because I am studying for my MCAT and I have practice material on pdf and i do not have the resources to print them. I only require the highlighting method and I'm starting to panic!!
PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU!!!!!
