I was wondering what peoples initial diagnostic scores were before the kaplan course and/or studying, and then what people actually recieved on their final DAT. I just took the diagnostic and recieved an 18AA and 19PA without much studying, so i am wondering what a realistic improvement might be.
thanks!

i got bad marks on my kaplan diagnostic..got about a 19/18/18 on kaplan midterm and on kaplan final :
bio 20
chem 15
reading 18
pat 18

real thing i got :
bio 21
chem 22
reading 22
pat 19

i think they key to getting above an 18 on pat is speed..if you are getting an 18 it obviously means you know your stuff and how to attack pat problems..but to push for the 19 or 20 you have to blaze through angles, holepunching and cubes.

I think I scored an 18 AA on the diagnostic, which was saved by high scores in reading comp and quantitative reasoning. My science scores were pretty low: 14 in Bio and a 15 in Gen Chem. On the real thing my Bio score jumped up to a 24, Gen Chem to a 25. You can improve pretty dramatically if you put the time in.

From what I've seen, most people score 1-3 points higher for AA than they were consistently scoring on their Kaplan tests. On the flip side, most people score at least 1-3 points lower (or more) on the real PAT compared to Kaplan.
