Pre- and post-translational import: why does Kaplans not cover this?

When I took General Biology at my university, this was an important topic of discussion, so why isn't it mentioned in the Kaplan's DAT book? Is it not on the exam?

Ummmm....I don't remember it being on any of the practice exams or on the actual DAT but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to know it. It could potentially pop up on the exam. Bio is pretty random on the DAT and you could get just about anything.
