Do you guys think there is a strong correlation between how people perform in classes and Step 1 scores? Have you heard of people who were scrapping by in class but were able to rock the USMLE or vice versa (top 10% students that can't pull it together) ?

Yes, I know people personally who have been middle of the pack students (or lower) and have done well on Step 1. They've all put in a LOT of work to get their score. It doesn't come easy...
