I know we are supposed to wait till we are accepted. but I cannot help myself comparing schools that invited me for interviews. I guess its a human nature...

Have you guys thought about where you wanna to commit in December and figuring out where will be the best for you??

What schools are you considering? What are your criteria for choosing them, and what impressed you the most during the interview?

I feel you A6, but I have decided to wait until post acceptance to think about that. It would really suck to imagine being at school X and then get rejected LOL. All I do hope is that we get accepted to our #1 choices and then can decide which school will give us the best education.

Also I hope we all get more than 1 acceptance so we can choose schools. The worst thing is to get accepted at 1 school and then being bitter because it wasnt your first or second or even third choice.

Haha, I have the same thoughts going through my head A6. I'm kind of obsessed with comparing different options that might come up on dec. 1st.
My priorities are
#1 financial costs of education vs how much that education will help me make money
#2 How much I think I will enjoy my life at that particular school

I think the decision is primarily an investment decision. It's not a decision about where you want to go on your next vacation. But at the same time you don't want to totally hate your life all throughout dental school.

I definitely agree my man. I think that it all comes down to happiness and cost. It's almost impossible to make a fine balance of having not too much debt and being able to enjoy the school and your dental student life.

I personally have been thinking about 'delayed gratification' vs. 'choosing to be happy today/now'

You're absolutely right. I guess I'm being overly positive. lol

its good to be positive. I just hope it all works out as we plan. So much of it is out of our hands.

Ya, but I think it's also important to avoid the delaying gratification rat race. I've been delaying gratification since 9th grade lol. I want some freaken gratification

I have a whole chart of pro's and cons for every school. =O

Make decisions once we get in. For now, I'm lucky to have interviews lol. Once I know where I get in, it's all different from there.

I'm trying to turn off my brain about all of this for a couple of weeks. I've done my part and freaked out about stuff and have just been a ball of stress for a long time. At this point I'm pretty sure I'm done interviewing. Assuming a couple accepts roll in on the 1st, that's when I'll really start to compare.
