Yes, it is true, UCLA dental school student teach that class, it is just a general class regarding dental school, they just talk about different specialty and different procedures. Hope this helped,

Thank you for the info. Is this free? If not, do you know how much and how long (how many sessions) the class? Is it any good?

When I took the class back in winter/spring of 2006, you do have to pay $25 for all the material..etc. It's a two quarter commitment (winter and spring quarter). There was like 4 lectures each quarter and you have to attend 75% of them. Also each lecture, there will be a quiz. It's pretty interesting. It give you a basic overview of dentistry at first from dental anatomy, terminology, oral path to different specialties such as oral surg, perio, ortho/pedo, endo..etc.

Thanks Andrew.

It's now $50. If you're interested you should sign up quick next year...right now there's about 75 in the class? There was a waiting list, I think, since there wasn't enough room. All lectures are now mandatory, though you are allowed to miss one. Also, if you do well on the quizzes ( which are very easy, they are only 3 questions long and basically for attendance-taking purposes), then the following year you can do a lab portion for which you can get 4 units (for 199). It's pretty interesting. The only thing is that it is in the evenings (5:30-7:30) and most of the time I'm drained. It's only every other week though, for a total of 10 lectures throughout fall/spring.

I wanna teach this. Sounds fun.

Do you need to be an UCLA student to sign up? Do you know who is managing this training (UCLA DS stuff)?
