Kevin this is absolutely great information. Where were u when
I needed it?
I think you can make a great webpage. This is real sincere
suggestion. It will be of great service to many. As usual you
try your best to give your best. Only problem with this great
information is in few days it will be at the bottom, and will be
hard to find. Is there a way it can always stay at the top of
the thread? Thats if you do not want to have a webpage
maintained. Thanks friend..You are very helpful. All the best

If it's a FAQ, maybe we should list the topics and link them to the answers. In addition, the answers should be put into another subforum of the Dental Forums, labeled "FAQ"
This type of format/system would make looking for a particular FAQ and the answer a lot faster and easier. Otherwise, we'd be thumbing through pages and pages of random Q's and answers, and we know that newbies aren't gonna do that. Hell, it's hard enough getting them to use the search.

drPheta, good ideas. I'm reworking much of it to make finding information easier.
I don't understand what a FAQ is. It seems like it's something important since people wanted to make it a sticky. Am I blind because I don't see anything in this thread that seems like anything in particular. It starts with Gavin saying that the greatest FAQ ever is going to be posted and then someone saying that this was the greatest post ever. Just wondering what I was missing.
We don't have finals. We take an exam every Monday, and then the course ends.
So: nope, it isn't! 😀
The FAQ will be made a sticky when I'm finished with it, which will probably be tonight or tomorrow. THEN Henna will post it at the top of the forum so new members or new pre-dents can look at it (along with forum rules).

When is Lee gonna give Gavin his well deserved Moderator title? Am I the only one who notices how much he contributes to these forums?

I don't know. But if he did, he would have my full support, as well as quite a few around here.

Few ppl were nominated in the past for this position but they were rejected as not all the moderators were in agreement. I'll hang in here till they find the right one for the position.

I think i read somewhere that mods are supposed to be silent bystanders. I'd rather have Gavin give his opinions rather than be the silent police.

I think it would be fine for gavin to become a moderator, but why do we need more? I think we're all pretty well-behaved around here. Sure, there's the occasional troll, but the current mods do a pretty good job handling these. They let us play with them just long enough for it to stop being fun and then put an end to it. 🙂
Thats Bull. One of the best moderators on SDN (mpp on the Financial aid forum) is always posting and giving advice. He is a wealth of information and I have thanked mpp for always posting and helping us SDN'ers out (I sent him a thank you pm just the other day)
I think Henna is doing a great job. I just don't see why it would hurt to have another moderator around the dental forums.
We all know Gavin would take pride in the job. If given the moderator title, I think he would always be thinking up ways to make these forums a better place.
I can't helping thinking back to a few weeks ago...does that mean I'd still get to be vice-moderator? 😉
I'm certainly not seeking out this title, but I'd do it if was proposed. I certainly DO enjoy being here, and I DO enjoy the friends I've made, and I DO enjoy helping others in whatever way I can.
