A separate place for haiku from those of us who haven't yet been graced with an invitation to dental school. Also a direct ripoff of aphistis's thread in Dental 😀.

A haiku goes as follows, in case anyone doesn't know:
<line with 5 syllables>
<line with 7 syllables>
<line with 5 syllables>

I'll start:

Application in:
Now sit and wait forever.
May some school want me!

...next?

I knew two people from texas who had nothin to do
but write really dumb haikus!

:laugh:

just kidin guys, I hope you guys all the best, Trypmo, has your application gone out yet.

Nope, my app's still sitting there; I talked to them last week and they said it'd be August before the schools get my app. 🙁

Wishin' you all the best too, HD! 👍

Hey Trypmo,

I like your sig line but I think it should read: On y soit qui mal y pense. Just a friendly french suggestion. Good luck with your application.........

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's "honi" - as in "let him be ashamed (honi) who thinks ill of it." I used to think it was "on y" as well, but my spouse (who majored in French way back when) corrected me! 😳

Interesting. You learn something new every day! I lived in France for a few years and I remember seeing that axiom on a billboard in the metro in Paris. I actually wrote it down when I saw it and it was "On y" but it could very well be a play on words like the frenchy French like so often to do. So to get this thread back on track with a haiku...

I did not know it
Honi soit qui mal y pense
May have two versions

😉 😀

SHAWNNYC1,

Welcome to SDN. I hope you find what you are looking for in the pre-dental forum. There are lots of good threads with plenty of information. This thread however, is obviously a place to goof off and waste some time. SDN is a pretty tolerant place. Lets try and keep it that way.

I am already in dental school and its cutthroat kids like you who kill each other for that A. Get a life. Go out party and maybe learn what the opposite sex is. And yes GAY is an insult fags.

Whence the poetry?
The pre-dental haiku thread
Has gotten sidetracked.

Haiku bothers you?
Pity. If only I had
Sympathy for tools.

I second that.
