Pre Dental Post Bach INFO Thread

Hi guys~

So I am in the Low GPA club also. I am probably far far far down the GPA ladder, so I am working hard to fulfill my extracurricular, and doing the best in my last year.

What I haven't been able to find was information on post bach programs. There are some talks I found through search, but I was wondering if I can start a good thread on post bach.

My questions being:

What post bach programs should be considered?

What should I prepare to get accepted for a post bach program?

When should I apply? When is the usual deadline? I heard january.

I do not know if it is better or worse but I kicked it "a la carte" as they say. I just enrolled in 7 science classes over one year at a 4 year school; pay by credit hour.
Following that I was accepted to a masters program in a further effort to improve my bush league GPA.
My overall GPA remains bush league. At any rate, you do not have to do a formal post-bacc. Don't do a post-bach though because they don't exist. Perhaps in Germany they do.

It was a poor attempt at humor. You keep writing post-"bach" which I believe would be pronounced as in the name Johann Sebastian Bach, the German composer.

You mean "post-bacc" which is short for post-baccalaureate. If you search these forums with keyword "post-bach" I do not think you will learn much.

That said, I have done post-bacc work and am finishing my masters degree in August. If you have any additional questions about the road to a repaired GPA, I will answer them to the best of my ability.
