You've got lots of time, don't worry about it so much now. Explore your options, do some shadowing and know that it will take awhile before you figure it out

thank you so much for the help you guys 🙂

Hi, I am in a similar situation as yours. I am a senior in High School graduating in May 2016. I am highly considering going into the dental field because it intrigues me as a profession. However, I am also open to other career possibilities such as pharmacy. Is there anyone here that can share their experiences is undergrad school as well as how they did, which school they went to, and what their GPA was? Also if you can share the degree of difficulty that Dental School will take.

There's a reason why college is considered a period of "discovery". Go through 4 years, find what you like/are passionate about, then make your choices to pursue that career.

Don't just set in stone what you want to do for the rest of your life, especially if you don't know anything about it or don't enjoy doing it.

Thanks, I have always been inclined to becoming a dentist. I have been surrounded by the profession due to both of my parents are dentists. I appreciate your input.

I remember binge watching House during undergrad! I was in a similar situation as you, I would really talk to Physician assistants, Doctors, as well as Dentists (other than your parents). From my experience, every doctor (GP,OB/GYN, Pediatrician,) PA's, Dentists, and oral surgeon have told me the statements of "If I could do it over again I would have chosen dentistry". I would explore your options while your on summer break and during college to shadow and really ask yourself if you could do this everyday of your life, then you will know which path to follow! Good Luck!
