Good morning, I wanted to post on this thread about pre med advising consultants. Anyone has used them to guide them in pre med journey. I see lot of consultants online and which are expensive. Okay to spend the money if it is worth it to give a better track of the pre med journey since I have a full ride and scholarship for undergrad. Any one utilized inspira advantage or med edit consulting. Do they actually guide us in better plannning of the time. Pease let me know your helpful thoughts.

Welcome to the forums!

First, does your undergraduate program have a premed advisor that you support with your tuition? I'm surprised that if you are a free-ride student that no advising support would be available to you.

AAMC also has a host of resources on their website about the medical education process, including applying to school; AACOM also (as will all of the major education organizations). We also have had 25 years of community here and lots of articles and guides written over the last 10+ years about the process. Is there a reason why you are willing to pay?

We are launching our Spring 2025 Applicant Experience Survey and want to know how applicants used their advising resources (undergrad, postbac, internet, independent/consultant) and what the collective outcomes were. If you are finishing up the 2024-2025 cycle, we want to hear from you!

Note: if you have received an email to fill out the survey, use that personalized link.

Thank you for the reply. My college has a pre med advisor community which gives us a great deal of information, however sometimes I find it difficulty in making the decision at the appropriate time so thought of utilizing some personal guidance. I have 2 more years to go to apply to med school (majoring in Bio medical engineering) and wanted to carve out myself in the preparation.

I'm not sure I understand what your concerns are. If you have difficulty making decisions, then I'm not sure paying someone to help you make decisions is necessarily a sensible solution.
