This is the beginning of my junior year

In my previous four semester i would take 2-3 science math classes and at least 2 of those classes would have 3 hour labs to go along with them (ex. last semester i had orgo with lab, physics with lab, genetics with discussion) i did pretty well in all of them

this semester im done with my core requirement classes for med school and since i am a bio major i can select which bio classes i want to take from a list of a few that are offered...

i signed up for neurobio, human physiology, and developmental bio (no labs, and some other easy gen eds)

im definitely sticking with the neurobio but i knew i would decide between either the physiology or the dev bio to stay in

they are all on tuesday and thursday so im not going to take the three of them...i went to all three of the classes today and i really liked the physiology, i thought it was really cool. it is a known very hard class though with a hard professor. the dev bio i am not really into but i hear it is easier than the physiology class.

my question is, since i have no labs so its kind of a light semester should i stick it out with the hard class that i like, or just go for the easier one because it would prob be easier to get an A.

also, do you think i will be more engaged in the physiology because i like it more which will cause me to do well in it?

one more thing (i know im a pain) will the physiology class help me a lot with the mcat.

im so confused and dont know which one to take! hard one that i like or easier one that i dont really enjoy

thanks for any input

I would go with the one that I like. There's no guarantee you would get an A in either class so you might as well be learning something that interests you or from someone you could develop a rapport with. That said, if you don't have to drop the classes for a while, I would continue to go to both until you have a much stronger inclination as first impressions can be misleading.

While I would LOVE to take Developmental Biology, because that's an area I'm very interested in, I recommend physio over developmental. I felt it was a HUGE help for me on the MCAT, especially since it had been awhile since I took general bio and my school didn't include nearly as much physio as what is outlined in the study guides for the MCAT the AAMC releases. The BS section of my MCAT was very physio-heavy, which I think is pretty common.

The rest of your questions are ones that really only you can answer about yourself, man. GL!
