I am currently attending a very large state university that is basically in my backyard. My first semester grades were a little rocky, but this semester, I am doing better. Not absolutely great, but better. I am not happy at this school and feel like I really just need a change of scene, since I have been in the same area my whole life. I want to transfer to a different university, and currently, the one that interests me the most is another state school (in a different state), but it is a branch school. I like it because of the change of location, it is not overwhelmingly large, and it has a pretty decent bio program. I was just wondering if this would hurt my chances of getting into med school? If I ended up getting higher grades at a branch school vs a flagship school, would it look bad an dseem as though I just wanted easier classes? But I don't think this school is going to be easier, it has about the same statistics and a 20% lower acceptance rate than my current school. Thank you!!
