i'm currently looking for places to do my 30 + unpaid observations. any idea where & who? thank you

Most any optometrist will be happy to let you observe them. Ask your own eye doctor, or look one up online/in the phonebook that practices in the area of optometry you're interested in. If you're anywhere near Pacific University in Forest Grove, they have students observing all the time - call there to make a shadowing appointment ... then just keep doing it!

You could also contact PUCO and ask if they could get you in contact with any alumni in your area that might be willing to let you shadow. That's how I was first able to shadow.
