Hi there,
I recently took the OAT and scored:
BIO 370
GCHM 390
OCHM 390
PHYS 330
QR 360
RC 320
science score: 370
test score: 360
(no review guides or anything... just off lecture slides/notes)
On top of that... I have a decent GPA (3.7 on a 4.0 scale) at University of Toronto.
- entering 3 year
- 16 of my 32 courses were lab courses (3-4 hours weekly labs)
- physiology and microbiology was a third year course with 3 hour lab (opposed to others... first year course with no lab)
- all pre-reqs completed
I was wondering do they consider what courses a student takes and how it impacts the amount of time they have for EC. Year to year I average 20-30 hours of classes per semester with almost 2 hours commute per day. (DEATH.) I have lots of EC when I was in high school, but literally none when university arrived.
Only experience I have is working with a physiotherapist lol... But I am actively looking for an optometrist to shadow.
If I were to apply to U of Waterloo, are my chances low? (lack of EC?)
