Hey, I'm graduating highschool this year, and I got into a 6 year pharm program, and I'm just wondering where I should work this summer. I don't know anything about shadowing and countering, so any input on this subject would be helpful. It doesn't have to be paid, as long as I can have a job this summer that will give me some experience.

Since you already got accepted to a 6 year pharmacy program I don't think you need any experience. Just try to work anywhere that you will make the most money over summer, so not CVS.

I disagree.

OP needs pharmacy experience to make sure he isn't making an error pursuing Pharmacy as a career. It isn't for everyone, and you don't want to find out you only liked the idea of Pharmacy when you're 4+ years into the program.

I recommend trying to work in as many settings as you possibly can before you begin, such as a hospital and a retail place. CVS, Wags, Walmart, Rite-Aid, and make sure to check the Indies also.

Pound the pavement for a few days and you're bound to get something. Whether it'll be 40 hours a week or not who is to say, but you just need to get your feet wet so you can have at least an idea of what you're stepping into for the next 6 years and, eventually, the rest of your life until you retire (Or OD on opioids).

Maybe its because I'm pretty new to here or maybe I'm missing something, but is it this common for people to decide to do pharmacy and not have a single clue of what they are getting into? I feel like half the people here are applying just because they failed their pre-med courses and have no chance in hell of getting into medical school, or because they just read one of those ridiculous yahoo.com "hot $100K jobs" articles.

I wonder what the current attrition rates for pharmacy schools are these days. I know they were up around 10% a decade ago.

The online pharmacy no prescription phrase works on two distinct planes; the internet and non prescription medication. But, we are fusing the phrase so that it means something and we can use the constituent parts of the phrase to create an idea. The concept of “online pharmacy no prescription” is designed for the purpose of providing medication over the internet (online) for all those people all over the world who are in dire need of suitable medication at reasonable prices, which is exactly the reason behind generic meds.
