Hello! I was accepted to the University of Arizona! 😀. On my acceptance letter it says that my major is pre-pharmacy. I checked out their pharm college and notice the majority of them receive their bachelors degree before entering the pharm college. Im confused about the major though. the pre-reqs is a two year program, but if im not accepted initially to the pharm college and go for my bachelors do i just change majors? Anyone here from UA that can clue me in.

OT: Question for incoming UA freshman, do you know how long it takes for the school to recieve the FAFSA? I filled mine out early feburary but on the Studentlink it doesn't seem like they have a section for the 2009-2010 application?!

Thanks!

I attend UofA. I'm in the pharm school now, but I did my undergrad there as well. Pre-pharmacy is not a major, just a designation. So if you decide to get a bachelors for what ever reason you would have to declare a major. Luckily, that will be pretty easy for you because the pharmacy pre-reqs coincide well with all the science majors. Probably the easiest would either be Physiology or Microbiology since you have to take classes that are included in those majors and not in others, but it's only one class so not a big deal if you decide on something else. I did Molecular and Cellular Biology and liked the program a lot.

I don't think they've done the Financial Aid yet for this next year. I'm not really sure how long it will take them as I don't think I've ever even thought about it.

Welcome to UofA!
