Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and really glad that I found this site. Anyhow, I have a question I was hoping that someone (or everyone) can help/advise me with.
Here's the deal, I am a senior in college and about to graduate (double major in econ and applied math) but I am seriously thinking about going for pharmacy school. I have done some research online and see that I can use some of my coursework to satisfy the pre-pharm requirements, i.e. the math, econ, history, phil and etc...but the thing is I have only taken 2 physics, 1 general bio and 2 general chem classes. I don't know if I should go ahead and graduate and take the rest of the chem and bio classes at a local community college or take them at my current school.
Either way I still have to take some of the classes at a 2-year college b/c I'll be over the max # of units allowed for an undergrad if I don't, but the thing is my college goes by the quarter system and all the local community colleges go by the semester system so it'll be very hard to coordinate b/tw the two. I'm thinking that it'd better to just go to a 2-year college and take the rest of the required courses. But I know that some, if not most, pharmacy schools favor students taking classes at a 4-year institution over 2-year, and since pharm school is getting so competitive I just don't know what to do. Could someone please advise me on this. I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks.
Thank you so much.
