Hi guys,

I am currently taking two online courses which are prerequisites, but I am not sure if I would be able to get the transcript sent to PTCAS before program deadline (November). I know I can update the status during AU period, but I am wondering whether it worth a try to scamp the courses before due day (I am pretty confident about the grade).

Here is the comparison:

Scamping pre-req:
+: Application with all pre-reqs done;
-: Late submission (like late October);

e-submit soon:
+: Early submission;
-: 2 courses outstanding;

In fact, the problem is "Pre-req outstanding vs late e-submit", which is worse?

When you say "late" e-submission, do you mean after the deadline? Because if so, then that would ultimately be the worse of the two choices.

Most schools don't care if you have one or two prereqs outstanding as long as they are completed before enrolling in PT school. But check with your schools to see what their rules are on the number of prereq classes you can have outstanding when you apply.

Hi, Cherokee,

I mean late submission but no later than deadline. But I am thinking about the fact that many vacancies (acceptance) would be occupied before AU, thats the disadvantage of using AU, right?

I had 5 or 6 prereqs outstanding but I filed mine early and just did the AU...I would think with just 2 outstanding (which lots of applicants are in the same situation), they would look at your app, and if they had questions about it they might wait until AU to decide for sure. I had received 2 acceptances and several interview options in the middle of the fall semester, and I was still taking 4 prereqs (two bios, phys, and chem II) that term, and had physics II and calc to do in the spring.

I would say submit now, and then just do the AU as soon as you can.

Thanks! I think for your case, the excellent stats dominated
