Hello all!

I have a question regarding taking pre-reqs after applying. The way my schedule plans out, I cannot take any Stat/Calculus Courses as well as my second semester English class until my senior year (after the application have been submitted).

Would this be of problem to admissions officers? I am particularly concerned that they will not be able to see any math courses under my belt.

Thank you all

I did, and it wasn't a problem. Wasn't even asked about how well I did.

I took a statistics and English course this past fall to complete my pre-reqs and it was not an issue.

Calc isn't generally a pre req, and English is a relatively easy pre req, so it should be fine. Not having Physics 1 and 2, plus O chem 1 and 2 or something of the like would be a problem though.

First, both of those classes aren't required by all schools, so you could in theory never take either but it would limit your possibilities.

Second, schools are more concerned with your pre-req performance in bio, chem ,orgo and physics, and less so with English and Math.

Third, you could take those classes the summer before you matriculate medical school. You might find you only need to take one, neither, or both depending on where you end up matriculating.
