I was wondering if you must complete all your pre-req's before applying to dental school.

Currently I have a year of chemistry but plan on doing O-chem, biology, and physics all next year (Yikes!). A lot of the schools, I'm mainly looking at UWashington, requires some other classes like micro and biochem- which I probably wouldn't have time to complete before submitting an application to get in the next year. So after completeing those three courses I would submit my applications. During that year before entering dental school will they let me finish up some of my pre-reqs or do they want all of them completed prior to applying?

I guess another question is am I crazy for trying to do all three of those courses at the same time, has anyone else done it? A friend dentist suggested doing it to get done sooner. I'm 25 so I'm anxious to get into to dental school.

Thanks

To answer your question yes, you can complete pre-reqs in the year before you start. But, you do need to the majority done so that they have the majority to go off of. Also, you would be suprised how many students take a crazy amount of courses, and the majority are science classes. Good luck though!!!

do you list this on your app somewherE? what if you only plan to take it if you get into a school that requires it? i wanna wait to see where i go to see if i need to take biochem or not but do i list this in my app as i plan on taking it so my schools that require it know i will for them?

i dunno where to list it if we do have it...help puh-lease😳
