i was asked to take a placement test for eng comp I before i can enroll. how tough is the placement test and wat i am usually tested on. if i need to prepare for it , any pointers etc etc

ANy info on the course details of eng , speech and calculus will he helpful, like what do they mainly deal with , degree of toughness etc etc

Well when I was passing english placement test at my college I didn't pass (weel I was almost there didn't get just 6 points). And as a result I went to ESL which I would say hepled me because I was in U.S for several weeks. To make the long story short the best thing to to is to get somewhere TOEFEL preparation guide. In my college they had similar to TOEFEL tests. Overall it is not hard, but might be challenging. The best way is to prepare for it.And also study the vocabulary because at some parts I was just guessing about the answer.Basically in a lot of cases they want to see if you understood the text that you've red and can answer text related question. And aslo revise some grammar rules and pucntuation. I hope I was helpfull and good luck. P.S if you have any questions you are wellcome to ask.🙂

i hav taken the toefl and gre and scored pretty good ijn then

toefl 280/300 and the gre is 1260/1600

how touch are the compositions, i hope the degree of difficulyty of the course is also no that high and manageble to get a C

It is manageable to get a C, but a lot of it goes to your determination and the person who teaches it. Because in my opinion classes like that are more biased (I mean teacher's opinion)...It is manageable.Especially with Composition. Good luck!!!!

GVSK,

try this link: http://testprepreview.com/ - it might be helpful. You need to find the name of the test on the left hand side of the page.

I would say speech wouldn't be too hard but the english could be hard to place into since you aren't a native speaker and the calc will depend on how well you already know pre-calc math.

Hope things work out for you!

I agree but sometimes speech class by itself might be challenging since the OP isn't native... But again it all depends on determination
