Hello. Please have full honesty, but I would rather fact more than opinion on this matter.

I am currently finishing Organic Chem II and this class was fun but very difficult (will most likely end with A-) I have chosen to not to take Anatomy and Physiology senior year. I will have every pre-req completed, although a lot of my schools that I am applying to like to see A&P. Will not taking A&P hurt me?
I will have taken only physiology.

I didn’t take any of the recommended classes other than Cell Bio and Microbiology and still got accepted to 3 schools. But then again, I didn’t apply to Harvard lol

I was a chemistry major so didn't have time to take A&P, got accepted already. Just don't apply to the schools that require A&P...Midwestern, UNE, UNLV all require it just to name a couple

Wow thank you! UNE was on my list of schools so I’ll just take that one out.

If you really like UNE, they have an online A&P class specifically for those that don't have the prereq if that interests you.

Speaking from experience, I would recommend taking anatomy. It will give you a much much easier time in dental school. I pretty much failed anatomy at my undergrad and have found 1st year dental school anatomy to be much easier than I thought it would be because I have already been exposed to anatomy.

But you can get accepted without taking recommended classes no doubt

Recommended classes are just that, recommended. Taking them can only help you and not taking them will not hurt you.

If there is one class I could go back and take before dental school, it would 100% be anatomy. It would've made learning this material a lot easier since I’d be seeing it for a second time
