pre requisite and overall gpas

After reading the threads i have got the impression that around an over all 3.0 GPA is competitive. If that is the case, then what about the pre requisite gpa's? are they usually lower than a 3.0? if so,do people get accepted with that? sorry for all the questions, im new and still learning.Thank you.

It's possible to be accepted with less than a 3.0 but not as likely. If I'm not mistaken I think a couple of schools do require at least a B average. Most applicants are majoring in some sort of science (biology for the most part) so their overall and pre-req GPA's are going to be pretty close. Have you seen the list on opted.org yet, with the average GPA's?
