Hello SDN,

So this may be a stupid question because everybody posts about their cGPA and sGPA all the time for WAMC, but I wanted to make 100% sure I know what I am getting myself into this cycle.. I'd hate to apply to a school and get screened out and have that money be wasted..

(Asking strictly about types of GPA here, not gpa trends, ECs or MCAT.)

1.) How important is the overall non-science GPA?
2.) Will this overall non-science GPA get me auto screened by schools?
3.) Are the only two GPAs that matter the cGPA and sGPA?
4.) Are there any other GPAs I should be taking into consideration when applying to schools?

*EDIT: Stats omitted*

Thoughts?

Thank you,
-NF

AACOMAS Stats:
cGPA: 3.33
sGPA: 3.42
Overall Non-Science GPA: 3.17

Thoughts?

AACOM if you have grad courses will give you a lot of gpas. It splits grad and undergrad up as well. I don't know of any school that significantly looks at overall nonscience GPA unless maybe it's really bad, which yours isn't. They see all of the gpas but C and S get the most weight.

If you go MD there's the bcmp but you didn't mention MD.

For your numbers assuming a good MCAT and other stats you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting at least some interviews if you apply broadly.

Okay cool, just making sure. When I saw that number it freaked me out a little because I've seen people on here talk about 3.25 and 3.3 cutoffs, but I'm pretty sure it was for cGPA.
