A guy from my fraternity who was from Greece told me a story about his family having a pet rabbit for a number of years before tiring of it. At which time his mother promptly killed it and they ate for dinner. And yes he said it was delicious though it did not taste like chicken.

what are you crazy, he'll really need more than one layer. LAYERS is what he'll need

Layer as in "layer your clothes". But yes, he will need layers. You dont need some ugly puffy jacket to keep warm, you just have to know how to layer your clothing properly.

Everything is a learning process...

1) The morning of the interview was the first big snow I've seen besides a slight sprinkle in Seattle. Needless to say, I didnt know how to cover my suit. So I just took the biggest jacket I happened to take (completely mismatched) and squeeeeezed it on top. Then I got to slip and slide my way to the interview in my dress shoes.

2) In preparation for my interview, I bought a snazzy leather coat in Miami (without any padding or lining) only to discover while walking around and my pelotas freezing that it will do nothing to prevent you from getting cold.

Do schools really get on SDN? And they would hold postings against people? I just don't see why.

Yes, they do - mostly just to see what is being said about them in the interview feedback section and to see what kind of stuff applicants are talking about in the forums. I also know for a fact one adcom will see something posted about another school/adcom and call that other adcom to check it out. Will they hold posts against you? While I have yet to hear a story from the dental side about such things I do know that guests, and even a moderator, in the pre-allo side of SDN have experienced backlash. Some of you may recall that a couple of months ago the admins of SDN allowed guests to change their name during a span of time (the window has since long closed and the option is no longer available) and this was due to the identities of people being exposed and their opinions, no matter how neutral or professional they This question comes up every cycle and I maintain that if you behave yourself professionally and post only things you that would not have a problem with if you were to tell it face to face then you shouldn't have any problems, and if you do, then defending yourself won't be a huge issue either.

you'll learn quickly once you move to new york. spanish harlem is not a fun place to be slushing around in during mid-winter without proper layering.

I actually slapped my forehead when I read that. No joke. It's the Great Wall of China.

no, it's some sort of ancient sacred trail going up the side of the mountain in mexico city, judging by extensive foggy atmosphere. on closer inspection, you could definitely tell the stone structure resembles that of aztec architecture or that of mayan. can't exactly tell which, because the shot isn't panographic, but it's definitely not chinese.

that's the aztec pyramid in fucuzatan, mexico, which is about 200 miles south of the capital. the structure has a red hue because the mexican government in the 1800s thought painting it with a oil-based chromatome would be a good way to restore the ancient structure. turns out, the paint coupled with years of acid rain caused massive damage to the pyramid.

as you can see, there are extensive hieroglyphs across the base of the pyramid, which reads, "Sow seeds under Sun God."
