You aren't missing Houston, but you do have Houston's name wrong. It is no longer University of Texas Houston Dental Branch. It is now, The University of Texas School of Dentistry.

Well, until the ADEA changes it on their website or the dental school's website starts working so I can see, its gonna have to stay as a "branch". Sorry. 🙁

If you would have checked last week when I PM'd you that the name changed, you could have seen it a week ago instead of the hour or so it was down tonight for updates.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, I'm not diss'n your school. I get PM'ed all the time and don't have time to always jump on every little thing, especially a name change that the ADEA doesn't even have on their official website.
 
I think I got all the schools, let me know if I missed one.

I would trust a school's website over the ADEA any day. Plus, the change only occurred 2 months ago. I am sure it will be next year before they get around to correcting it on the ADEA website.

Missing the point a little here. I don't care if your school changed it's name to the "Willy Wonka School of Fantastic Dentistry" I would change it but that's small potatoes. I had an entire cycle and 5 schools to add. I get paid less than someone working at McDonald's, I'm on call all the time, in clinic all the time, in class all the time, the website is a net LOSS for me not to mention my time, of which I have none of...so when you make comments like you did, forgive me if it rubs me the wrong way a little.

Actually, I do. I volunteered for a year fulltime at Lackland AFB as a dental assistant jumping between the different dental residencies. I am quite aware of the time committment.

No, I don't think you do, since you're whining about Dr. Dizz not responding to your message within 3 seconds. I'm a dental assistant, too, but I can't claim to know what it's like to be a dentist.

He's busy, he's doing all of us a great favor with this service, you're being a debby downer. Just enjoy the Plum Purple for all it's worth!

I didn't just assist them there. I met the Colonel in charge of the dental residency programs when I went there to ask a few questions about Air Force dentistry. He asked if I would be interested in following his residents around and assist them while they teach me about the diffreent residencies. So, I spent a month or two at a time jumping between the residencies. Even though I was an assistant, when we weren't working on patients I was with them either helping doing a little online research for their projects or was in the lab either helping them or learning about the things they would do. I did this because I was wanting to verify that I wanted to go into dentistry again. I even attended some of the post graduate courses alongside them. Grillz, you have no clue of my background. You have no clue of what I do and what I do not know about the life of a resident.

On another note, I wasn't whining. I was merely stating a fact in response to his response. Pdizz said he wouldn't change it because he couldn't verify it becaue the moment he tried to access the website it was down. All I did was state had he checked the first time I told him about it, days before he stated the 2012 cycle was up, then he would have been able to verify the info and make the correction. It is not my fault someone cannot handle the truth. I don't wear underwear, so my panties cannot ever be in a bunch.

Umm I have a problem..... I can't see the new site? Every time I go on predents.com I still see the old site 🙁


Edit: I feel stupid... I didn't realize the most recent cycle doesn't "auto-select" from the drop down list lol.

Yeah..that's a feature actually...not a bug. The website remembers the last cycle you went to for each individual person and pulls that cycle up the next time you go to the website.

...and don't feel dumb. When I made the new cycle, I first went to test the website and saw the 2011 up instead of the 2012...only a minute later realizing I needed to change the cycle.....and I BUILT the frig'n thing!
