  1. Pre-Dental
I feel like this may be a stupid question, but I really can't figure it out. I've looked on predents and saw that some people have indicated that they withdrew their application either pre- or post- interview or acceptance. I understand why one would withdraw their application post-acceptance if they did not want to attend the school, but why would someone say they withdrew their application pre-interview or post-interview? I feel like that is just throwing away a chance at dental school. Would it have to do with meeting requirements?

Well if they got into a school that was their top choice either before or after an interview they would most likely withdraw from their back up schools if they really wanted the school they were already accepted to.

I withdrew from like 5 schools I had interviews at. It was a mixture of I got into a school I REALLY loved and didn't feel like spending money to go to the other schools.

The only school I sort of regret not going to was my in state school, but I hate UF.

Just like they said, you can be accepted at one dental school before you have interviews at others. Same thing happened to me. I got into OU on Dec. 1 and pulled my interview with Nova that was set for mid-December. In fact, Nova was originally an October interview and I moved it to after Dec. 1 just in case I was already accepted at OU by then. That's exactly what happened.

I can certainly answer that...
I had 8 pre-December-1st interviews. After going to 5 (don't want to sound cocky) but I knew I was going to get into at least 1... so.... 1 I totally withdrew from in November and the other 2.... pushed them past-dec-1st (one was dec 15th, other sometime in January) JUST IN-CASE.... On december 2nd, I withdrew officially.

reason I did that? I didn't wanna spend extra $$$ flying around the country..
