It was 20 last year for accepted students. In the past couple years the average DAT for NYU has just kept on increasing.....

I've heard that this year's pool of applicants was less numerically competitive than last years. My guess is that it's probably a little lower than 20.

for accepted students or for enrollees?

Whichever that is in the predents.com. I think that is for the enrollees.
It was 19.1 last year. I guess it that it will increase since NYU seems to be on the rise.

yeah but every school's average has done the same thing.

i'm gonna assume OP meant enrolled b/c accepted tells us next to nada about the school... especially when NYU accepts more applicants than any other school in the country... and even though I liked the school, it's still widely viewed as a back-up plan.

the new dean seems really ambitious. NYU definitely has a bright future.

More applicants = higher bar = more selective = higher average amongst all schools for applicants = higher average amongst all schools for acceptances... it only makes sense... If a school's DAT average goes down any year vs the year prior thats a problem, and staying the same aint too good either... But it should just go up little by little...
