Dear friends,

One of my friends is applying to dental school this year and found out that she is pregnant. She is concerned about how it will affect her interviews and chances of getting into a school while being maybe 7-8months pregnant. Is it even physically possible to interview during that time?

Was anyone preggers while interviewing? She is an international graduate and is concerned a lot about her situation.

All replies will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey.. I was in a similar situation and I could not travel b/c the airlines do not allow you to travel I think passed 28 weeks. Maybe she can come here and stay before that time.

Hey DentalUtopia,

Thanks for your reply. She is in the US already, I was asking about domestic air travel .

Airlines dont let u travel after 36 weeks..
Interviewers are not going to judge based on pregenancy situation...i dont thnk so she has a prob. Her pregnancy will not affect acceptance or rejection

I was pregnant 6 months when I interviewed at buffalo and I had my baby 2 weeks after interviewing at NYU. I got into both schools....Schools don't care how you will manage with a young baby...they will simply throw you out if you are not able to cope up. Focus on the interview and buying a size 16 jacket 🙂

Thanks everyone for your replies. That was reassuring...
