Can I defer my semester(s) if I get pregnant?

Hi Guys, I got accepted into a dental school for the DDS program in the US. However, I learnt now that I'm pregnant with my first baby and expecting delivery in October. My queries are:
1. Will I be able to defer my second semester?
2. Will it cause any complication in getting entry into the US when I'll travel there in April?

Congratulations on your acceptance and your pregnancy! This is a valid reason for deferment, since you have already gotten accepted it will be ideal to inform the university about your issue, I’m sure they give you options!

Deferring one semester of dental school may be difficult since you would have to wait an entire year before being able to redo the second semester. It may be worth talking to the administration to see if you can defer your first year of school. Congratulations on the baby!
