Going through the websites of the schools I'm applying to, it seems that most schools prefer a letter from the prehealth advisor or commitee as opposed to 3 from professors. I wonder why this is. I have letters from professors, should I get one from the prehelth advisor and send that instead (where it is requested)?

My 3 letters:
1) Pre-health advisor; he was also the Dept. Chair of Biological Sciences, and my research PI.
2) & 3) Professors.

I'm guessing the pre-dental/pre-health committee has a good judgement of who will succeed in dental/medical school because, after all, they're the pre-health committee...thats just my guess though.

Good luck. =)

ha, you are very lucky that your pre-dental advisor knows something about dental school. cos mine doesnt, at the career center anyway.

getting strong letters is more important than the committee itself. unless your advisor knows u well, you are better off with ur 3 letters.

and ziptree, go study.
