So I have been searching online and on here for Prelim Surgery programs with a strong background of matching residents into categorical but have not had much luck finding a lot of info on these programs. Can anyone shine some light as I look ahead to the the 2017-2018 cycle?

agree it should be the back up plan, but we don't know the whole story
