Hey Everyone,

CIMSA (Canadian Irish Medical Students Association) has compiled a preliminary match results list which I've posted below. Before people start freaking out, a couple of things:

1)This data is PRELIMINARY. It is incomplete, and should NOT be used to base your admissions decisions on.

2)UCD and RCSI have the most matches listed because they have provided the most data. This does NOT mean that Trinity and UCC have fewer/worse matches. In fact, their matches are most likely very similar. They just haven't provided CIMSA with the data yet.

Do you know why match results from TCD are not available? Is it because the university does not make this information known?

Usually, the university does not know. When we match, we don't inform anyone from TCD so they don't really know our whereabouts. All we do is reject our jobs (if we had interviewed for Irish SHO spots). So it's up to TCD folks to post it themselves. I'll see if I can drum up someone from TCD who might know who matched where. Now that I've graduated, I'm slowly losing contacts at TCD.

None of the universities keep records of this info. It was all voluntary self-reporting. CIMSA sent out a poll to the reps from all the schools. Some schools got back to us, others didn't.

As I said before, TCD's match list/rate would be near identical to the others.
