To those that have applied, or plan to, how many preliminary programs are you applying to? are you applying to a mix of transitional and prelim medicine (or surgery) programs?
Also, I look through freida and there is no "prelim medicine" option to choose. How, then, would I know which residency program offer prelim year and how many spots are available?
Here's how you get the info from FREIDA...
1. first choose specialty (IM)
2. then choose region (if you want to)
3. THEN...you gotta choose the specifics. That's where you specify "offers prelim."
