Prematch Help!

So I've decided to go ahead and accept my #1's prematch, and they've sent me a "Letter of Intent," which states that I agree to start in June, and they agree to have me, but it is not the formal contract. They said they send the contracts out along with the others who match... Of course, I believe them, but I'm wondering if this is typically how it is done. anyone btdt?
I wish it wasn't so weird.

I believe for the IMG's, they get the actual contract.

American grads who've graduated before sept 2006 can legally prematch.

That is right. I believe that is what you need but before you withdraw from the match just confirm with the program. Congratulation!!👍
